Why do I need to accept the changes in import? What does this mean?

If you change the import settings by changing the data source or mapping, you must accept these changes by clicking "Adjust changes". 

We assume that first you’d like to modify several imports to achieve the intended effect of data combination and only then will you want to send these changes to Inkspace, and subsequently update all exports - this is why you must accept the changes.
